3 Scholarships for an Academic Semester
at the Séminaire du Sacré-Coeur
PRICES:
FIRST PLACE:
A full scholarship covering 100% of study costs. ($14 928 value) *

SECOND PLACE:
A full scholarshipis covering 75% of study costs. ($11 196 value) *

THIRD PLACE:
A full scholarship covering 50% of study costs. ($7 464 value) *

Total fees for 5 months (1 semester) are CAD$14 928
1st place will pay $0 CAD
2nd place will pay $3 804CAD
3rd place will pay $7 536 CAD

*The costs of obtaining the necessary authorizations to study in Canada (Temporary selection certificate and study permit), transportation costs and personal expenses are the responsibility of the scholarship recipient.
REQUIREMENTS FOR PARTICIPATION:

To be between 12 and 16 years old;

To have a valide passport for travelling

To be interested in learning French;

To have a wish to study in a Canadian francophone school (Quebec);

THE OBJECTIVES OF THIS CONTEST ARE:
Promoting the learning of French among young people;
Brighten the interest of young people in the culture of Quebec and Canada;
Promote universal values;
Identify talented students who have an interest in French and give them the opportunity to gain student experience in Canada.
CONTEST PROCEDURE:
First round:
Proficiency French Test
Second round:
The Semi Final
Third round:
The Final
To qualify, participants must first pass an online French exam that will be given by our teachers. This exam will aim to assess the participants' skills in reading and writing.
The exams will be taken on March 2nd, 2025.
The results of the qualifying round will be announced no later than March 8, 2025 on the Facebook page of the Séminaire du Sacré-Cœur and our partners.
Qualified participants will then be invited to the second round.
In the semi final, participants will have to make a video on a given subject. The announcement of the subject and the evaluation criteria will take place before March 8, 2025 on the Facebook page of the Séminaire du Sacré-Cœur and our partners. This production will aim to evaluate the oral skills of the participants.
Criteria:

The recording is at least 2 minutes long, but does not exceed 3 minutes;

The participant expresses himself in front of the camera and without dubbing;
-
The video is given to the organizers before March 13, 2025.
The third step is an interview with the participants with our jury.

The names of the winners will be announced on March 28, 2025 on the Facebook page of the Séminaire du Sacré-Cœur and our partners.
For the three rounds of the competition, the jury will be composed of administration,
French teachers from the Séminaire du Sacré-Coeur and our partners.
